    Garage heaters

Wasn’t my first rodeo, so I went with hydronic heat in the slab. No dust, no and it self regulates humidity. I run the mini boiler on off peak elec which makes it very reasonable in cost. It stays around 60-65f all winter. On the coldest days, -22 or so the room temp drops to about 58f. Very...

    Hurst shifter question

Thanks guys, great pics and data, very helpful. 3831 and 7275 shifter arms are VERY close in shape and based on the number (7275) and the shape of the arms it seems I’ve got a ‘70 model, which is a step up from the aftermarket unit that’s on my car. I’ll need to rechrome the shift lever and it...

    Hurst shifter question

Does anyone know if the 1971 hurst shifter in the Boss 351 was labeled “Hurst” or “Hurst Competition Plus” on the side. I’m getting contradicting input from supposed experts and would just like to know the truth. Thanks

    Leaf spring perch install

Well as they say: a pictures worth a thousand words. Those diagrams are incredibly helpful thank you. I can easily check the play on that driveshaft slip yolk into the tail shaft since I haven’t removed the driveshaft I just suspended it. Based on what I’ve been given, I intend to remove the...

    Leaf spring perch install

Thanks for the input guys. That gives me a great starting point and it’s where my focus has been. Before I started this project. I drove it over a pit and measured the driveline angle at 3° down and the pinion angle at 3° down. My question would be these angles need to cancel or can they be...

    Leaf spring perch install

Thanks for the excellent input! I’ve been chasing a driveline vib that occurs north of 65mph. It’s not harmonic but I see it and hear it in the shifter lever. Since I have the winter I decided to take off a welded on set of locating plates (welded on the top of the perch’s) from the axle...

    Leaf spring perch install

Makes sense. I looked over an axle out of a ‘71 staggered shock car today at a friends shop. Using a magnetic angle finder I was able to determine the perch’s have an approx. 10-11 degree difference from the pinion angle. This makes sense knowing the leaf springs are not level at the attach...

    Leaf spring perch install

I’m replacing the spring perches on my B1, wondering if their surface should be parallel to the pinion angle or do I need to include some angle? Seems to me that parallel with the pinion would allow the use of shims to accommodate driveline geometry? Suggestions. Thanks

    Linkage boot?

I’m presently trying to determine what the correct mounting is for rear spring perches. Wondering what the proper weld on angle/position is……. It that’s another subject, sorry for the hijack!

    Linkage boot?

They did have a lower boot. Unfortunately as of this time nobody reproduces them and finding originals is as rare as hens teeth……. Btw I’m interested in buying one if anyone has one available……
