What kind of horsepower are you looking for? Are you wanting a concours build? Are you going with an original Autolite carb or Edelbrock, EFI? If. you're looking for max horses, you might consider aluminum heads with 72 cc chambers and a decent rotating assembly and a medium picante cam...
Hey Robo....
I have a NOS sending unit that I had installed in my 72 Mach 1 as the aftermarket sending units do not work at all with an aftermarket gauge. When I went Holley Sniper, I had to replace the whole tank with an electric fuel pump and integral sending unit. I spent way more than I...
I replaced mine early on. Suspect miles and I figured well over 100K miles. Mine leaked out fluid as soon as the engine started. I went with the rebuilt Cardone with the resevior. No issues and it is still going strong. When removing the pump, just remove the tensioner bolt first and then...

If you get fluit on your finger after you wipe the flare nut on the pressure line, then that is where your leak is. Fluid doesn't travel up against gravity. It will leak down and then spread out at the bottom before it drips to the ground making you think your O ring is leaking.
I believe it is a 7/8 inch wrench. I test fit that and it appears to fit fine but there is so much stuff in the way but it looks to be a good fit. You might try to access it from below. That looks to be the better way. Just remove the oil filter and you should have a clear shot.
It could be leaking from your high pressure hose connection on your pump. Mine leaked inceasantly from that connection even though the hoses were relatively new. I found some conicle shaped copper washers on eBay and that allowed me to have a seal at that connection. It allowed me to tighten...
Over the last 40 years or so, I have heard nothing good about any transmission shop much less AASHOLE…I mean AAMCO. I avoid transmission work like the plague. I had issues with my AOD tranny because it set too long while my 393C stroker build was in its first botched assembly. When finally the...

Yeah, the younger crowd is like you said, interested in the newer Mustangs. I was describing my 72 Mach1 to a young fellow in a restaurant after he observed my Mustang attire. Once he heard 1972, he mumbled old school and walked away. Jerk!
Yes but don’t buy cheap parts. Get good quality. Minimum pressure should be 35psi but if that is what you set it before, then you should set it at 40 psi.
It’s best to replace everything. Suppliers carry the oem style steel pre-formed lines or you can get stainless pre-formed lines…or you can buy a coil of copper-nickel brake line and custom fit them yourself. You’ll need a bending tool and flaring tool. You can remove the intact lines and lay...
Back in the day, all the steering wheels were large diameter. Hanrdly any cars or trucks had power steering and the larger steering wheels gave extra leverage for manual steering.......of course everyone really did have power steering......it was called shoulders and bicepts!
