What did you do to your car today?

After a long… long… break. I am finally back on it with a shop to work in. New cowl in and working on the inner fender and cowl connector pieces.

What did you do to your car today?

Should get my floor seam sealed this weekend. Finally I think I got a lead on a T5 transmission as well. Been slow progress. Working too much.

    Dream Car

There are GT40 kit cars out there that are within a normal persons grasp. Sent from my LM-G820 using Tapatalk

What did you do today instead of working on your Mustang?

As a relatively new homeowner I have had an endless stream of projects that I am constantly doing for the last year. Today made some trim for the kitchen cabinets and did some minor repairs so some drawers would slide in and out better. Repaired an AC duct that was just barely hanging on and...

    Dream Car

I'd like a Pantera, GT40 kit car, or a Superbird/Daytona. Sent from my LM-G820 using Tapatalk

    Steering Upgrades

Im going with an electric steering setup. No pump, no hoses, no fluids. I work on electric steering assist vehicles at work often (many/most new cars are) and am very familiar with whats involved. There is a company that does kits, but I plan on making my own from a Toyota Prius, which has a...

    Steering Upgrades

Looks good. Never heard of them before but then again I don't think I've ever shopped around for one before either. Gonna look them up, gonna swap to a manual box actually. Sent from my LM-G820 using Tapatalk

What did you do to your car today?

Yes I just keep going around until all the gaps are filled. No fuel lines on the car, car is stripped down. Sent from my LM-G820 using Tapatalk

What did you do to your car today?

Car is 100% stripped down so don't have to worry about fuel lines. I did actually plug weld it in a few spots to hold it in place and I know it would be strong enough if I just did that all the way around, however I did the other side this way when I was less experienced and I want them to...

What did you do to your car today?

Finally got out to finish welding in my floor pan. Ran out of wire though, so I guess I gotta wait until the weekend. Been a few years since I last welded and it took a while to make anything that looked half decent. I guess it doesn't matter, nobody is gonna see this anyways and its plenty strong.

    1971 & 1972 Mach 1's running incorrect front bumpers

Around maybe 16-17 years ago I saw this one in a magazine when it was still being built. Was supposed to be an example that you can put air suspension on anything. I don't know if it qas privately owned or commissioned by UPS but hey, still interesting lol...

running Ram air scoops always open?

I was thinking attached to the carb linkage to open when the butterflies do. I dont know, maybe I'll see what I can fabricate when the time comes. I just know that on engines with big cams that dont produce a lot of vacuum, the flaps probably won't work correctly. Sent from my LM-G820 using...

running Ram air scoops always open?

I've often thought it would be cool to have some sort of mechanical cable setup where it opens and closes the flaps with throttle input the same way a bugatcher scoop does. Would just be for cool factor I suppose. Sent from my LM-G820 using Tapatalk

    1971 & 1972 Mach 1's running incorrect front bumpers

Reading through this topic, I find myself in the "make it how you want it" category, but I am a younger guy and have no fond memories of how things were back in the day. Going to do chrome bumper/painted trim. Boss hood treatment, Mach 1 grill, 71-72 Mach 1 side stripes/lettering, and '73 Mach...

running Ram air scoops always open?

Always ran mine open. Was hoping to help it run cooler. Didn't really help. Plenty of 100+ mph time and didnt ever think the hood was going to fly off or anything like that. I did however, get stranded one night because it was pouring rain and the water coming into the engine bay shorted the...

The Right Stuff rear brake disc kit (9" Ford)

Are you on facebook? I recently joined 5-6 different groups for 71-73 mustangs and they all seem pretry active. If you post this on there you would surely get some eyes on it. Maybe someone more local to you. I was able to get rid of a few things pretty quickly over there. Sent from my LM-G820...

What did you do to your car today?

Hopefully get some more welds on my rear floorpan tonight. Just gotta get home before dark and before the rain, so I am able to do some hammering and grinding early and the neighbors don't have to hear me and the kiddos don't get woke up. I want to get started on the cowl but don 't want to...

The Right Stuff rear brake disc kit (9" Ford)

Would one of those in line brake proportioning adjusters have helped solve that issue? I'm curious because I am going to run the cheap Wilwood kit (4 piston calipers) up front and was going to do a kit like the one you have for sale on the rear...
