    TKO crossmember for T5 crossmember?

Anyone have a T5 crossmember that they want to trade for a TKO? I am downgrading the drivetrain in the car (I tentatively sold it heavily detuned), so I need a crossmember for a T5. Would like to trade even up if someone has one?

Rock auto has another 6539 in stock

I bought an Atsco 6539 the last time they had it in stock a couple of weeks ago. I got the right one with three turns lock to lock and the quick ratio. Was checking to see if they had a PS pump and noticed they have another one in stocks for $173 plus core.

    New speedometer cable question

Previous owner had an autometer cluster installed, very nice unit. The speedo cable was never attached, and it appears to be too short. I have a brand new one that was part of my moderndriveline kit for the TKO. My question, I don't understand how it attaches to the speedometer? The cable end...

    Strut rod

Short of getting my frame pulled, or buying global adjustable strut rods, anyone know of strut rods with more travel/threading on them? Faling that, is it possible to machine more threading onto a stock strut rod? I want to burn my car to the ground everytime I look at it because it's...

    Steering box interchange?

Been checking out a companies website that rebuilds everything. They show the steering box on the 71-73 Mustang as being the same as a million different cars, including the 77-79 Thunderbird. I found a 79 tbird power box in stock, but, do these specs line up with our cars? I have looked...

    73 alignment saga

They played with it for 2 hours, the tech was great, showed me the issues. FIrst off, he is sure the steering box being loose is causing havoc. Second, drivers caster is bizarre, seems out of whack. he got it the best he could. Lastly, the eccentric bolt on the drivers side is not seating...

    Alignment specs for PS car?

I found a great article on alignment. Says that caster should be +2.25 LH and +2.5 Rh, slightly more for PS cars. Any idea how much more? Here is where my saga gets really strange. The damage aside, I was shocked at how uncontrollable my car was after alignment. The shop that also damaged my...

    alignment went horribly wrong

Went for an alignment on friday... things were going great. Updates, got the caster that was way out of whack on drivers side corrected, camber was set near zero...blah blah. Then it was time for them to take it off machine. They forgot about something on the pass side that they called a...

    No electrical power

I guess this is what it is with old cars???? Finally a great weekend weather wise, and no go. Last Saturday is last time I drove it, other than major failure of cheap Jegs wheels (I now have Welds), it was A-ok. Go in it today, nothing. No lights, gauges dont move, nothing. However, the clock...

    Adjusting camber

Bolts on lower control arm? The previosu owner had some serious negative camber dialed in, looks kinda silly. Would like to go to about negative .25 inch. Anyone have experience with this?

    Changing to Weld racing wheels

Before I had planned to put a crazy engine in, I bought some cheap Jegs draglite copies. They look great, but, I kinda wrecked one. Most likely my fault. the 408W , being able to dump a clutch, combined with ET drag radials combined with normal acorn lugs apparently is a bad combo. Ordered a...

    Turn signal switch installation 1973

Just getting myself prepared if this is the reason I am not getting power to my horn. I have been reading up on it, and 1973 seems to be different, where they say you don't have to take the plug off and feed the wires through the column. Can anyone shed more light on this? I should have had a...

    Backfiring

New 408W, having intermittent issues. My issue sounds like the cam is toast, however, literally the last time I ran the car it was a monster The crappy carb I bought, a procomp 830 DP, is very touchy and basically junk (replacing with 750 Quick Fuel this week). So keep that in mind. First off...

    horn question

What searching the forum, I see that the horn circuit is shared with the cigar lighter. My cigar lighter is not hooked up, and I have no power when I test the horn, but I have power at the fuse. My question....does the cigar lighter need to be hooked up to 'complete' the circuit?
