    Hidden Wiring

Hi guys. I have been asked to give a few pointers and pics on the "simplification" of my engine bay. http://members.dodo.com.au/~jimniki/hidden_wiring/hw-1a.jpg This project which I undertook was not so much one big upgrade but rather many little side jobs which worked together to ultimately...

    Data door tag help

Guys, I got my standard marti yonks ago, but I've always had no door data tag. I'm going to order one from marti. (My car is a different colour from birth, so I blame the PO). Is there any other "metal" tags anywhere on a 71 Mach1? (other than the vin of course) eg: none of the cowl? (I hope...

Hi guys. It's been a while.

Hi to all new and old alike. The old horse has been behaving itself. Not that I drive it much. I'm enjoying it a lot more since I put in an AOD. I'm in Sunbury, Vic so getting anywhere from my town requires freeways. Guys, the time has come to get rid of the boat anchors, aka, 2v open heads...

Hi guys... I finally got my AOD in my car. It feels a little weird at the moment. I'll finish tweaking it by Sat, then I'll post about it. For now, can I just ask: I need to know the bolt size needed for the front of the Cleveland head (drivers side). This is where the aircon bracket goes...

    Need help guys.

About 3 weeks ago, I took the mustang to work and back. Everything was fine. Tried to start it many times since but no go. It's a pretty standard 351 with cam and carby. There's fuel from the electric fuel pump. Double check by manually opening the butterfly on the 750 holley to see the good...

The Ad that changed my life!

For what it's worth, I finally found all the documentation pertaining to the purchase of my mustang ... (including the original "JUST CARS" SEPT 2003 edition) pictured below (page 71)... I looked at the picture about 10 times and then asked the SWMBO if I can buy it? It took several hours...

    woodgrain alternative

Hi guys. I've read as much as I could find but need more examples. Some owners have mentioned that they're not big fans of the woodgrain accents in our cars (with deluxe interior). I'm interested in seeing photos of some alternatives to the woodgrain to maybe give me some ideas. eg: carbon...

    Low beam adjustment.

Hi guys, took the must among out in the dark to see how my new Narva 100+ h4 globes go. I need to adjust them. I know how to adjust them, just need to know if there's any easy tricks to do like at home with the lights on a wall, etc. Or is it just trial and error, etc. We drive on the left...

    Big decision time!

The battle has been won in the war office. (the bedroom). I have the green light to change my gearbox (fmx) to a 4 speed. I'm thinking of an AOD. But now I'm entertain the idea of a manual. Let's forget the wow factor for a moment and tell me which would be easier? Ideally I'd like a 4 speed...

    Spares for hand rivet gun

Hi guys, I've got about half a dozen Stanley hand rivet guns lying about all with the same problem. The spring is broken on all of them. No one here in au carries spare springs. Would anybody know where I can buy about 10 of them. They all seem to be the 1 generic size these days.

Another blow to manufacturing in Au.

Just heard on the radio this morning that Holden will also cease manufacturing here in Au by 2016. The sources are accurate but still unofficial by Holden. Their official reply today was "no comment". With Ford also closing in 2016, we've basically become uncompetitive with big manufacturing...

    Knock sensor...?

Hi guys, I bought a knock sensor kit. I like it's simplicity because it has a little sensitivity adjustment for the green, yellow and red led lights. I tested it on the bench and it works nicely. Now the hard part.... I have no idea where to install it on my clevo. (standard block/heads)...
