I did a search but didn't see anything. What is the safest method to remove the 10 piece decor group molding pieces? A picture of the clips looks like they are spring loaded? Thanks

    Seat Belt Light/Buzzer

I'm freshening up my 72. One of the things I always wanted to do was get the seat belt warning system working as it did from factory. The previous owner removed the buzzer and the light was broken. So, I got a new seat belt light and buzzer. I started the car with seat belt off. Put it in...

    1972 Mach 1, Q-Code

I am in the process of putting the car back like this. No side stripes with a spoiler and trim rings and caps. Almost done, have to replace the interior that the mice messed up. When I bought it in 96 it had the stripes and I put magnums on it. I originally thought traction-lok was standard...

    Help Identify Part

This was under my 72 Mach 1 after removing and replacing the C6 transmission. I'm fairly certain it was on the car somewhere. Things removed are vacuum lines, transmission lines, linkage, drive shaft etc. Anyone recognize? Thanks

72 torque converter for Q code

Hi, I am trying to find a torque converter for my 72 Mach 1 with a C6. The stock one I pulled off is 10" and has a 9 1/2" bolt pattern. The problem I'm having is finding a torque converter with a 9 1/2" bolt pattern. Apparently Ford only used this set-up for a very short time, maybe 72 only...

Getting it back on the road

New to the site. Looks like a nice forum. I parked my 1972 Mach 1 in the garage when my son was born in 2001. With that, and house projects, I just didn't get it out anymore. After 13 years, the mice really messed things up. They got into the exhaust and interior. I currently have the...
