    need opinions floor pans

so tim was talking to the local body shop.  And they suggested screwing/rivoting in the floor pans and using a metal grade epoxy to make the "weld".  I can't imagine this is the same or better than welding.  Has anyone ever done this and is it safe?  Will it pass inspection, etc.... (I don't...

    intake question

posting for hubby. The car came with a 302 out of a 74 maverick (we think from the numbers).  It ran, but was puffing a little smoke.  So hubby got to tearing into it.  This is looking down into the intake.  We're thinking this isn't good. lol.  Is there a way to clean, or are we looking at a...

    72 fastback.. family project

Well, since we've ripped out the interior and started the process by ordering the floor pans, I thought I'd start a build thread. We will be learning a lot along the way. Hubby has the carb torn apart and we are underway. Here's some pics of what we are starting with. You all have been great...

    1972 assembly manual

Are the assembly manuals a good tool to have.  We have no idea what is original on this car, or what it should have.  Does the assembly manual also give you part numbers or at least a description so you can try to find the part?

    Seats and shifting.

Definitely not the original seats (or motor, numbers show for a 74 maverick). But back to seats first. What kind of seats should I be looking for and where do I look?? Craigslist the best place? Also thinking about going to a manual shift. What should we be looking for and how much work is it?

    Got the Marti

So nothing is working out as planned. Lol.  Of course it wouldn't.  Everyone that was supposed to help me get the car bailed on me.  So, I've made a scavenger hunt for the hubby to find the info on the car.  We will then go together on Wednesday to pick it up. In the mean time, I just received...

    1972 Olympic Spirit

I keep coming back to this one. I know this one is going to take a little work, but I think hubby could make it look really nice. I've asked for additional info on floors, trunk and VIN. But it's the right price for what I wanted to spend right now. Is the 302 engine ok? I know he can make...

    possible 1971 mach 1 purchase

Hi all, I want to start this off by saying I have no knowledge of the older mustangs at all. However, my husband came across a car that he would like to get and work on with our 3 boys (13, 10 and 6). He knows a lot about cars and would be capable of a rebuild. The other last piece of info is...
