    72Rcode.org email

I bought the domain 72Rcode.org.  If any R code owners want to have a "[email protected]" email address, send me a PM.  I'll set you up with an email address. I haven't done anything with the website.  I'm trying to post my old magazine article on it, but haven't figured out how to hang a...

    Pat Szyslowski

Was looking through my list of web pages about the 72 R codes.  One article mentions Pat Szyslowski as owning the yellow R code coupe.   Just wondering if he’s ever around here?  Had some questions about his car. Link  http://www.mustangandfords.com/featured-vehicles/mump-0706-1972-mustang-ho

    Shipping success stories?

I’ve used Uship in the past with good results.  This time, for my new to me 72 Mach 1, they were twice what I was prepared to pay. The car is in southern Ohio area.  1400 miles one way to me. I’ve been getting the run around for the last 2 weeks. Any recommendations for shippers you have used...

    Repo under front inner fenders

Is there a vendor supplying the under the engine compartment inner panel support piece? This piece is welded to the original inner fender.  Probably a one piece top, but since they rust out right at the shock tower, mine came out with the panel. Looked at CJ, didn’t find it.  I think Dynacorn...

    72 Q code Sportsroof

Project has been stalled for about a year.  Bought Dec 31 2018.  Jan 2020 I’ve become energized to make some progress.   Q code, auto, air, PS, Competition suspension, magnums.  Originally brown metallic w/ tan interior.  Final color for the build not yet settled on, but leaning towards Calypso...

    New Motivation

I recently discovered Fabrice’s epic thread on his 429 car.  Wow.  What a great attitude.  I’m on about page 10, taking it all in small doses. My 72 Q Code project has been long stalled.  I didn’t touch it from March to November.  Some of that was busy with my work plus they sent me to Africa...

    Rust removal

I recently read the post about using molasses ($7 a gallon at tractor supply) and water for a cheap an easy rust remover. I also used evap o rust ($16 a gallon Walmart) and some “deoxydoesit” ($30 a gallon).   The evap o rust worked well.  Bottle says it will remove rust from 600 lbs of metal. ...

    New guy from Texas

Just found this forum. I’ve been out of the 71-73 world since I sold my 72 351HO back in 2007. I just picked up a 72 Q code, C6 A/C car. It is pretty complete, minimal rust.  But needs a lot of attention.  I’ve already learned a few things from the forum. Lots of enthusiasm here.
