I will definitely give the article a read. I probably won't even take it past 6000 rpm. If the engine was bone stock I would go with the Performer without question. I noticed some people praise the Edelbrock, others bash it and even mention it starts to quit a little before 5500 rpm.

Thanks for letting me know about the clutch, good thing I sold the Torino a few months after putting that clutch in. Now regarding the staggered shocks, will the hole inside the trunk be there?  The hole that has the rubber body plug to gain access to the shock nut.
