Then why would you bother going to St Louis for the green hood?

I'm confused, what original hood, our original hood is on our car. As crappy as it is, it looks better than it used to since the 69-70 scoop hides where it's damaged areas were Bondo-ed. See pics of Bondo shavings in NASA hood post. I would just buy a flat hood for posterity.

You're very welcome, we ship a lot of boat parts from ebay sales, so we're pretty good at it. I'm so glad you like them, I thought they were beautiful, and sure wish I found them before I paid through the nose to get mine done!!

If the paint was just dusted on, because the factory knew it was getting a vinyl roof that would make sense. In the 70's, a lot of cars were ordered with green vinyl tops over green paint.

I think the coupes, (hardtops) can look as cool as any Stang when done right. I remember an engineer who used to visit my neighbor had a black 429 ram air 4 speed coupe that was gorgeous. He said he ordered it that way because he didn't like how hard it was to see out of the Sportsroofs.
