Normal operation. When the oil warms up, it thins out. This is the cause of the decrease in oil pressure. I like 20w-50, but you'll see about the same results.

That would be lifter noise from them collapsing due to lack of oil pressure keeping them pumped up. I'll bet your oil pump drive shaft is twisted and broke. That was the failure mode on my engine. Happened at freeway speed. Made terrible noises that steadily got worse. No knocking just a...

I don't think there are two different air-gap manifolds for the Cleveland. There is the Perfromer RPM but its for 351 w block. Note the thermostat outlet on the manifold. Go with the RPM air-gap and dont look back! :)
