You're doing a great job! That is a lot of work, and I commend you for tackling such a project and saving another old Mustang from the scrap heap. As GMonte noted previously, Fitzee's Fabrication on YouTube has a lot of great info on repairing rusted out sheet metal. I watched a lot of his videos while repairing the Rickster.

Thank you for sharing. I am glad you are taking lots of photos of the project. I enjoy looking back at our progress photos, which I put into a video that I flip through at least once a year. I also have a nice walk-around video of the 73 Mach 1 deep restoration project on the last day of the work. I never get tired of sharing the links, and hope nobody is tiring of seeing the videos. I have photos and videos of our other pony cars as well, but the 73 Mach 1 was the one that required the most work to get it to its condition now. The other pony/muscle/sports care are in the attached photo files.

This is how my 71 429 SCJ looked when I bought it. Completely disassembled, sitting in pieces for years. But it was worth the extra effort to get it back on the road where it belongs. I drive it almost every day here in Florida.

Are you paying someone to do the bodywork? he's all over the place on the tack welds. Many of those will not hold after they are ground down. I'm sure he went ahead and filled in a few more on some of those spots though. I lived in New England for a bit over a decade and have had to endure lots of rust repairs. Nice to see the car coming back to life.
