Nice find, look something like this? I had the same car but 4F.
Thought all Q codes came with competition suspension? Should have a special torque converter and special variable ratio steering all Q code only. Hope the original magnum 500 made the trip, the one pictured has the stupid looking aftermarket wheels.

The Competition Suspension was standard on all '71-3 Mach 1, '71-2 R (Boss/HO cars), and '71 C and J 429 Mustangs. The competition suspension was an option on all other Mustangs except the 250 6 cyl and was a mandatory option on any F60 x 15" equipped Mustang. Some of the Facts books and salesman order guides are a little vague on what level of suspension you received with different engine options. It included heavy-duty front and rear shocks, springs, and a Saginaw variable ratio steering box on P/S-equipped vehicles. All received the front bar, while the 4bl equipped vehicles received staggered shocks and a rear stabilizer bar. 71 "M" and 72-73 "Q" received a 1/2" bar, while 71, 72 "R" and 71 "C" and "J" got a 5/8" bar. The plate that allowed the right shock to be placed in front of the axle housing is not included in non-4bl cars.
Ford used a high stall torque converter for all '71-74 Q code C-6 equipped vehicles.

Since the Marti report is not an original Ford document, it's at Martis's discretion on how he formats it. Normally under the "Your vehicle was equipped with the following features:" they would list any optional equipment ordered for that vehicle. Occasionally I have seen some reports with standard equipment mixed with optional items. Since the competition suspension was standard on Mach 1, it wouldn't usually be listed under that category.

You are absolutely right about the Marti reports. I have had 10 Torino Cobras over the years and have collected a lot of Marti reports on them. And I have noticed he list standard equipment as options.
Like 4 speeds when they were standard equipment on Cobras.
