Hi folks

I was able to get a used rear bumper in a quite good condition but now I'm wondering, how I can tell that it's really a used old bumper and not a reproduction.

Left an right to the license plate cut out I found two markings.

can someone confirm, that this is an original one?

any statement is welcome.

That look pretty much the same as the NOS one I bough recently. Another easy way to tell if it's an original is to look at the top edge around the corner. The "draw" is much wider on the original and the fit is much closer. I think these pics will explain.

Thanks Geoff.

It almost looks like I've drawn a good lot.

I wish you a blessed Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year.

 That's good news Frank.

Wishing you and your family the same in return. Stay well and healthy.

Geoff.

By the way, the good aftermarket bumper I have (which is for sale if anyone wants it) has no stampings on it at all, especially where the original is stamped.
