2013 S197- The Other Underappreciated Mustang

I think the S197 Mustang (2013-2014) V6 is the other underappreciated Mustang.
For 2013 Ford added a lot of content to the V6 Base and optional Premium package.

Here are a few bullets:

• Horsepower: 305 hp @ 6,500 rpm
• Torque: 280 lb-ft @ 4,250 rpm
• 30 MPG Highway
• 7000 RPM Redline
• Three Link rear suspension with Panhard Bar (similar to NASCAR four link suspension)
• 2013 v6 Premium includes
• Strut Tower Brace
• Track Apps
  • 0-60
  • 1/4 mile acceleration times
  • G-forces
  • Braking distances.

I did add the JMS PEDALMAX - Throttle Enhancement Device to increase the throttle response without messing with the computer. My guess is that these cars will rapidly increase in value in the future.

I had the 2013 Grabber Blue MCA edition….I swapped out a black California Special grill…..awesome car, light and maneuverable, and plenty fast…

I traded it for a GT after it rolled backwards down a hill and smashed a building while locked in park….Ford said the transmission was fine…..it wasn’t.

I do recall problems with the automatic transmission that year. The 2013 version of sync is a disaster. I ended up using it only for the cell phone and using the audio jack with an external MP3 player. The wheels in the MCA package are awesome.

They certainly are, go price one if you can even find some for sale. Tons of ecoboost and GTs
