DAMN, that looks spectacular! I can't wait to see it in person!
I do plan on doing the black on the hood lower body. As for the cutting and polishing my good buddy that sprayed the car is handling it.That car does look very straight. That is a vibrant red. I think it really suits that car. Especially if it gets the black Mach treatment. Are you cutting and polishing the paint yourself or is someone doing it for you? It's a real skill.
Thanks Nik! Yeah it's getting there. Been putting in some long hours.DAMN, that looks spectacular! I can't wait to see it in person!
Thanks Eric.Lookin' SWEET, Mike! ::thumb::::thumb::::thumb::
Can't wait to see it all back together - it's gonna be awesome! :bravo:
Thanks Mike, I'm very happy with the color. I was a little on sure at first but now it was a good choice.We used to have a 1993 Mustang lx in that color, it looks great on your car. Nice job.
I'm thinking on going with more of a satin black over the flat black. I think it will a closer match to the Mach 1 decals. I think gloss looks good in some case on white and silver. My car is a boring H code so I'm going for more of a restomod than stock. Believe me if I had a more valuable car I would do a more correct restoration.Making great progress won't be as long as it has been. I hope you do the black flat it is not really an issue keeping clean just stay away from it with wax. I see so many with the shiny hood black that defeats the purpose. I know some are using a flat clear over the black but just not like original. Owners choice for sure.

Thanks Tim! It won't be boring when it's done.Looks great Mike, really coming out nice. Oh and there nothing boring about a 45 year old
mach 1.
Thanks for the kind words. When I first got the car I was going to flip it and find something with more value. But as time went on the thought of building a Mach 1 my way became more interesting. So my overall plan is to build a nice Restomod Driver. I think it will be more fun to own in the big picture.H code or not your doing a sweet job on that mustang. Restomodding it a bit gives it your own personal touch. I'm going a little more modded on mine cause it's is an F code. I was hopping that the cleanest car for the best price, I might find, wasn't going to be a real Mach because I didn't want to deal with the thought of cutting up a car that is better off and appreciated more by a purist and a proper restoration.
Thanks Mike! I almost can't believe it's painted. This is a huge milestone for the project. I almost can see the lite at the end of the tonal.YES!!!!! Congrats Mike. I think that finally having new paint is the one biggest step in such a project.
Thats the way to do it ! Should be a mile deep ::thumb::All loaded up and heading back to the spray booth for 3 more coats of PBG clear.
Thinks Nik, 2 more weeks it should be buffed and the black painted. Then it will be ready for viewing.Damn Mike, it looks sooooo good! I am a little jealous buddy!
