Hi All.

My 1971 429 CJ is missing its fan shroud. It's a non A/C car. I've looked on line and there seems to be two versions that get mentioned:-

D0OE-8146-D and D0OZ-8146-D. I've not been able to find out what differences, if any, there are between these two.

Would anyone know if either will fit? Doesn't matter if fibreglass or plastic.

Thanks

mustangandy, The same shroud was used on A/C and non A/C cars. DOOZ-8146-D is the Ford part number for the shroud you need. DOOE-8146-D is an engineering number that was used for identification purposes by  the assembly line and parts and service at the dealer level to verify proper parts ordering.

This shroud was used on 70-71 429 Torino, 71 429 Mustang, and sister Mercury vehicles.

To find a affordable, undamaged NOS 429 shroud would be next to impossible. This is a Torino sourced part so it might be easier to find through some Torino vendors. Don't know who you've tried so my suggestions may be someone you've already called.

The above are vendors I have used in the past for Torino parts and had good experiences.

Get you charge card out good luck on your shroud search!

That's fantastic, many thanks Steve. Need a few other bits so I'll see if I can do a job lot with one of them.

Cheers

Andy
