I see that Performance Automatic has an adapter plate for adapting the 6R80 modular engine transmission to small block Fords:

I couldn't find a price on it, nor anything on how the flexplate/torque converter is connected.

They also have a dipstick and filler tube for the 6R80, part# PA68401, which is good for us DIYers, so we don't have to have a special filling adapter.

Baumann (US Shift) is coming out with a controller for the 6R80 transmission in December:

It'll be $1249, but this one includes the wiring harness.

I looked through their instruction manual and I'm impressed.

A digital to mechanical speedometer adapter is required for our stock speedometers, there's a couple of them available, including one from Dakota Digital for $299:

While this all adds up to $$$, how cool would it be to have a 6-speed automatic that has a 4.17:1 first gear and a 0.69:1 overdrive?

As expected, these are a little pricey. Summit has them in a package that includes transmission, adapter, torque converter, electronic controller, and dip stick for $6,638 (no flexplate). So, not all that bad with everything.

Performance Automatic still doesn't show them on their website (at least that I could find) nor just the adapter plate. Also no information on what flex plate needs to be used. I was hoping that piecing them out might save a few bucks. Also, no information on whether the transmission is stock or built up some.
