1971 MUSTANG MACH 1 429 SCJ
Yesterday I purchased a reproduction circuit board for my 71 Mach 1 with Tach. My original is dry and a bit brittle and is seperating above the dash plug. I noticed the eBay seller has sold a crap load of circuit boards, over 110 . I was wondering if any of our members have replaced their circuit boards. I can't seem to find a UTUBE video of someone replacing a 71-73 stang ?🤔

Thanks , I found my old Ford Shop Manual and blew the dust off. I have attached a photo of the page showing the circuit board but the book doesn't tell me how to remove the circuit board, only the cluster . My question is how to get loose then eleven Knobs that actually hold the circuit board ribbon. Do these knobs twist and then come out all the way or do they Only move left or right? I don't want to damage any of the knobs. I found a cluster for sale on ebay with a missing knob , seller wants over $500 , ouch! Finding a used knob would not be fun. I was just wondering if any body has performed this procedure.

I don't mean the light sockets, I mean the knobs the hold the green circuit board to the cluster. I think I got it , they also so move counter clock wise and then out .😁 I just removed one. Oh by the way , nice job on the harness. In the future I would like to send you the tail light harness. Now that I have your attention can you maybe tell me what this wire goes to , it's above the glove box. Check out my 2nd photo. Thanks for your input Randy.

The 11 "knobs" are the light sockets that when turned CW into place assist in making the circuit board make contact. Are there no light bulbs in the sockets?

Thank you for clearing that up for me, have s great mothers day weekend !

Regarding the empty plug you found above the glove box, this should be helpful. It's for a '73 so look for differences.
