I would have never thought about mixing it on a sheet. Does that also stop it from hardening so fast ?
Not really, but it allows the hardener to be better distributed, and if you "smear" the mix together it helps air bubbles to me minimized.

Stirring will only cause bubbles in the bondo.

I will also afford you that little bit of extra working time since the "smear" method doesn't take as long to mix through.

ps. Tip: don't go overboard with the volume of hardener. Finding "hardener zen" comes with practice... :)

Thank you for the writeup, nice work!

Stick with me, eventually I will actually start on the Tweeter pods for the Stang, but as you may know, work on the Vert has taken a side track into making it so that when I do eventually get the sound system where I want it, I will actually be able to hear it :p

Still using the Dually for a learning curve.

So, what good would having a bunch of high frequency sound,if it can't be balanced against some good base ?

I haven't made any progress on the actual tweeter pods, because I took a detour into working on the subwoofer. After reviewing every option, I decided that there is no good place in the cab to mount the sub woofer or the amp. So I'm doing what I do best. hacking away ::devil::

I had this nice stock center console that looked ripe for the picking.

Well, I thought that it would be really cool to glue a steel washer onto the bottom of hte false bottom that separates the bim from the amp. I would then use a strong magnet to lift the plate oof when needed. WELL, I didn't realize that even the super strong magnet that I have does not have enough umpth to work through the 3/4" plywood . Need to come up with a plan B....
