Affordable replacement dash speaker

I bought a pair of cheap speakers from amazon thinking I might be able to get one to fit one of my cars ($30/pair). The AM radio seems to work on the Mexican Mustang. Note the speaker mount is different than the US mounts I have. I had to dremel the plastic where the studs are. I dremeled them to match the metal mounting portion of the speaker. It was a snug fit. No idea of sound quality but for stock radios I figure good enuff. I bought some speaker cloth as well. Will finish it up with that. I will likely leave the mount as is (not stripped and repainted).

I had to cut more on the fwd edge of the speaker, trimming away the metal and phenolic/ plastic. It also looks like I got lucky with the Mexican mounting bracket. US cars are different and appear to mount only on the ends of the speaker.  It will not be as easy to mount this to a US bracket
