Hi all you experts out there -- I do not like my oval aftermarket air inlet filter etc.

I'd prefer the round one ....I'm not running dual quads just a single edelbrock 4v  500 CFM

waddya think?

Are you looking for a factory set up or just a round aftermarket?

What is best - "ford racing circular"  ?  ... I just think this oval thing looks too whacky .....a bit over the top

Might be worth a trip up the road along the A5 to Stateside autos. Rich has a good stock in and also a ton of used parts out back

I went with an Edelbrock. Same "design" as the K&N for a lot less money and it had a dropped base which I needed. I also wanted a plain look, no ribs, writing, etc.

I’m with Ed, I also like that style of air cleaner. I got mine off eBay pretty cheap.

Hi

very much appreciated guys

I think functional and proportional round one is better - I'm not trying to pick up satellite TV like this oval thing is

Here is my current set up. Due to distributor I am running I had to go with a slightly smaller diameter.

An update on a old post - Just an FYI - The type with the filter in the lid is easily damage if your engine every backfires.  Will burn through.  Just make sure you take it off if you start messing with your timing or are having issues.
