1973 Mustang Grande 351C 2V, built on the very last production day (July 6, 1973) for Grande's.
Hey folks,

I'm thinking of welding up a frame to support my 73's body when it's bare, stripped of everything. I want to put it on wheels so that the body can also be transported while on this frame. In the rear I guess I could mount it at the front leaf spring mounting point. Dunno about where to mount it on the front side of the body.

Has anybody ever made something like this? If so, would you share some of the details and experiences (and maybe even some pics) please?

Thanks,

Vincent.

I've seen body carts using the leaf spring front eye and the front lower control arm pivot bolts. You could also use the steering box and idler arm frame mounting locations to leave the front end open.

LOl we call that a rotisserie in the U.S. mine has large wheels and a pivot in front so easy to move around. I have no help and move mine at 73. Once you get the center of gravity right easy to rotate to any position you want. You do not want rear or engine in due to fluids. Some pics of mine I bought second hand for $800 USD. I just cannot do the repetitive motions of sanding with my neck disc out.
For sure will give you a return on investment. Much easier to sand sitting on stool or standing instead of on back under the car. Same with painting.
