73 Grande will undergo three phase build process. Phase 1 is complete (driver). Phase 2 is interior/exterior restoration. Phase 3 is ++ performance.
It appears on both sides, behind the hood hinge. It’s the one below the rusted looking hood hinge bolt. Does anyone know what it is for? Can I weld a plug in it?

No idea, but at a guess it could be for jigging at assembly. If it's stamped hole, it's been there for 50 years, why bother. If it's been cut i.e. drilled by a po, it's up to you what you do.

I suspected it was a mfg hole; I think I’ll put a rubber plug in both sides. It’s just another place for water and grim to enter the Eng compartment from the wheel well. Thanks, Steve.
