Ok this is the crazy guy that has to take medication to keep from buying Mustangs. I went on one of my journeys that ended up being 1,400 miles just home. I went to look at a Towne Top removable hardtop for a 1964 1/2 to 1968 Mustang, Pic attached. I always try to also look around craigslist and see what else is in the area. I did get the top WooHO0. it is the either no 13 or 44 top made. I have both models now.
Now for the pay the bills items I also purchased.
I went and looked at a 65 coupe mustang that they drank way too much while doing the floors and trunk. He had a great garage with two post lift and a full bar, lol. I did not buy the car....
The guy that had the top also had lots of early mustang parts and I purchased several parts I had been looking for to complete a build. I then went to my next stop in Maryland to look at a set of heads. I need the help of those that know these heads. I think they are the good ones but I do not know for sure. Check pictures and tell me what I have.
I have attached pictures. He also had lots of parts off the crashed 50,000 mile M code 71. Wire harness, steering gear and power steering pump. He also had the harness out of a Q code 72 Cougar. I got the heads, steering stuff and the wire harness. I will put the steering up for sale and the harness since I do not have a 71. Looks like it had air and gages and has the whole harness including fuse block. I will get better pictures. If you are interested PM me and we can work out a deal. I just need to cover the gas to make the 1,400 mile trip.
I also got a pair of NOS Ford valance panel guards for 1971. I think they are a one year thing. Will get pictures tomorrow I am beat. It was white out when I came back through DC. These parts were in Maryland so quite a haul.
I will be going back to guy with early mustang parts. Got a perfect 1964 1/2 hood original paint, no rust and no damage.
Let me know on the heads I think they are the 1970 66 CC heads. Even better than Boss.
Not going to sell the heads so the price was $200 with a couple sets of valve covers. Let me know if I am incorrect on the heads. I hope they are the good ones.
Send PM if interested in the wiring harness or steering gear and pump.
I am tired but pumped over the rare Towne Top.
