Bought a 8 pieces Beltline Weatherstrip 8 Pc. Grande/Coupe kit at CJP.

Was happy to see the chromy bits (SS) for which I've bought it are very close to the original.
But when I've finally removed the old one from the door, I saw a significant diff in rubber height, where the original would "lick" the glass on 2 locations
and overall act as a support for the glass, reducing vibs...

That's quite some diff no?

The angle of the new rubber that goes against the glass is different and should prevent much better the water to enter the door, but still...  I wonder if there are no better alternatives for this. Even tempted to try to mix old and new...

Also for the rear window ones, the one for the inside, has anyone replaced them? Is it just a story of pushing by hand the provided staples thru the rubber, then the panel plastic and squeeze them flat or is there some catch to the story?

Anyone has experience with this kit?

Thx for the reply,  I don't see/get exactly how this part looks like on their site (detailed images of good sizes are soo difficult to make these days),
and wonder how it would interact/be coupled with the one I have. Not to mention that even at 50 extra, it still will not ofter the same support/contact area as the original one...

mmm, gonna look closer on how I could marry the old and new one, mine are "okish" if they'd be cleaned up real good, it's the stainless that was dented.
