I've got two 3-gauge clusters and need to bench test them. Does anybody know or have a resource for the proper resistance for each gauge so I can put a meter on them to determine their condition?

Thanks.

1971 Ford manual says 10-14 ohms for oil, temp, and fuel. I've confirmed these values in the past. I found no spec for the ammeter, probably because it is a shunt type. Chuck

I am sure the Amp meter is shunt type, but I am not sure how you would test it. I suspect mine does not work because it NEVER moves.

If the battery is low and it still starts you will see it BARELY move. The gauges are not that great bit they look good. Chuck
