Read this on another site today... interesting. As I recall, they did not put the correct carb on the engine due to rarity and cost. Always something to keep us from making 'em perfect...

I thought it was a nice very high level article but lacked a lot of the details that someone who would use the article to help detail their engine would need. Compared to the article tha came out in the 90's I thought it lacked a lot of the detailing lessons that have been learned over the years.

I am assuming the book mentioned in the article will be much better.

It would be nice if someone did a nice comprehensive article on detailing the 429 CJ/SCJ.
