Brake drum paint

What is the correct original color of the brake drum and calipers on my 1972 Mustang? What paint product is recommended? Many people like the G2 two stage system....

Don't know about G2, but aerosal can by Plasti-kote is called cast finish gray, available at the national auto stores or Eastwood. Eastwood calls it spray gray.

I used Rust-Oleum Engine Enamel, Cast Coat Iron #248955, on my front discs and rear brake drums. It's held up great since I put in on in 2010. It resists heat up to 500 degrees.
