Cannonball 2

Ok newbie here.  I just took off the heads on my 351C said to be out of a 70 Mustang and the heads show a (2) and a cannonball (dome).  Question open or closed chamber?

Because the heads show a 2, they are 2V (2 barrel - Venturis - carburetor) and are likely open chamber. The dome isn't definitive.

Because you have the heads off you can check the casting numbers, which are on the underside of the intake ports. The casting numbers are available here:



You can also tell if they are open or closed chamber by looking at them
