The last time I put carpeting, I got the mach one carpet and it wasn’t a wide enough. I think it needed thicker floor insulation. It might’ve helped raise it up. I had to split the center so much to get it to tuck in that you could never remove the center counsel without seeing gap. Definitely more than 5% plug and play.

Here’s my ACC brand new never installed convertible carpet, bought new from CJ PONY 18 months ago. Not sold on the quality.

Back in the '80s ACC was the way to go for the best in carpets and I bought several from them, always satisfied. I had heard when the original owner sold the business that quality went downhill but am surprised to see what you received. I hope you sent it back or at least gave ACC a chance to make it right.

It depends on what you want. I wanted an original look on my carpet so I went with the nylon loop mass backed. The Essex is a deep cut pile type carpet that will not look original in your car but it is nice and plush.

The Essex won't match the carpet on the lower portion of your door panels.
