What is the fastener type used on the lower two holes? These are fairly difficult to access and the sheet metal is fairly thick...I'm wondering it it's a push-in type fastener to hold the bottom end in place during assembly. Mine doesn't have them and I don't remember if I simply left them out or if they were not there when I got the car.

Hello basstrix,
The four screws used to hold the 18842 radio bezel are #8-18 X 3/4". Ford called these Self-tapping, oval head, cross recessed, pointed screws. The Ford part # is 55934-S, but unfortunately was discontinued years ago. AMK does have a version of these screws but has a $30.00 minimum order with a $10.00 shipping charge. Too much $$$ unless you need other hardware. Their part number for the 18842 bezel screw kit is F-1093, and is available at vendors such as NPD (National Parts Depot)
If this is something you need now or don't want to order, a trip to your local hardware store, Home Depot, or Lowes could be quicker and possibly cheaper.

I used hex head sheet metals screws that way I can use a 1/4" socket and extension to get them started up in there
This is what I started to do as I was preparing to reassemble but the thickness of dash brought me to ask my question.

Edit: BTW, I like your signature line....I think we share that trait...or maybe not :D

'72 "mach" and a bunch of other stuff.
They are hidden.

just go to hardware store and get #8-1/2” sheet metal screws

there is a support behind where they screw in. So they have to be short enough to not hit the support or the dash will rattle.
