Then place where they fit is located on the left side manifold they fit on a small squarish part of the manifold casting near the rear of the manifold at the bottom

the tubes enter the manifold in two holes that are near each other with the one that connects to the choke on the top and the one that connects to the carb below it on the side.

If you do not see them holes the old tubes may have rotted off and obscured them or they got filled with debris over the years

Sorry it took me longer to get the pics than I thought.

I bought the kit from Mustangs unlimited $14 part # UNI9819KIT 01

http://www.mustangsunlimited.com/itemdy00.asp?T1=UNI9819KIT+01

here is how I have it mounted.

the orig tube rotted right at the manifold, I hope these pictures help.
Wow, thank you so much for your effort! That is exactly what I needed. My base on the manifold is actually in good shape. Did the 72 Stangs only have one choke tube? Does the empty port on the carb need to go to anything? Mine does not have anything connected to it either.

Also, I do not have a hose from my PCV on the value cover to the back of the carb. Everything is missing. What is that cylindrical thing on the back of the carb that looks like a fuel filter. Do you know where I can get all of the parts to connect from the PCV on the value cover to the carb??????

the hose for the PVC goes from tene valve cover the the base of the carburator spacer plate (back side)

and yes there is only one choke tube, that port was always empty with no tube. so I kept it that way.

if you check the potos I posted on your other post http://www.7173mustangs.com/thread-1972-mustang-help?page=3

you can see the PVC tube routing.

as for parts, check mustang catalogs (NPD, Mustangs unlimited, or Ohio Mustangs) they should all have the parts you need.

You were a big help on the choke tube, thank you! Do you have any pictures of the Heater hose routing? I have the one from the intake to the valve to the firewall figured out. I would like to know where the one from the water pump to the firewall goes. Does it just follow the other one???

Also can you post a close up picture of the rod on the carb so I can bend it correctly when I make one for my carb

The car is tucked away in the garage for the winter, I will try and see if I can get to open the hood to take pictures, its really tight in there.

I'll try this weekend for you.
