Have a 1972 Convert, 302-2V, Air, Automatic. My value covers and intake are a lighter or medium Blue. Many people say that they should be Corporate Blue. Bought a can of Corporate Blue, looks too dark. Did previous owner paint the engine the wrong color? What is the verdict on the correct color?????

1966-1981 ford car engines were painted Ford Dark Blue. I like DupliColor DE1606 the best. Read and follow the directions and adhesion and color hold out are very good. Warning, if you are going to re-coat do it within 1 hour or the paint will wrinkle (re-coat sensitivity) like crazy. Chuck

POR 15 sells a spray able engine enamel that is a spot-on match. You just need to thin it a bit before spraying as its a bit too thick straight out of the can.
