Hey all,

Potentially have a bad batch of fuel and will drain the tank tomorrow to rule it out either way. Just wondering on the 73 couple (originally 6 cylinder) does the tank have a drain plug and if not......best way to drain it?

Cheers

The rubber hose coming out at the lower driver's side. You can pull the hose clamp, or just cut the hose and replace it, depending on what shape its in.

I've used one of those hand syphon pumps to get most of the fuel out. Actually I have two types. One is like a squeeze ball thingy to start suction and the other is suction pump made for gas or other fluids.
As for the other suggestion, you likely will need to jack the right side of the car when the fuel gets lower, or at that point remove the sender unit, but be careful you don't spill gas (petrol).
