FASTBACK QUARTER WINDOW WEATHERSTRIP

Good morning members,

I am about to order the weatherstrip for the quarter windows.

I would like to get some tips about the proper way of doing it.

this is what i am working with.

Now I plan to use 3M strip chaulk between the glass and the metal piece (I dont know what the original material was)

To me the hard part seems to be taking off the old weatherstrip piece and install the new one.

If I remember correctly, there are two 1 1/2 long tabs at the bottom of the channel that have to be carefully pried open a bit to release the grip on the rubber seal. Hit with some silicone spray and it should come out the top. Reverse the process for installation. I saw no need for any kind of glue, it is a tight fit. Chuck
