Hello, my first post here.
I have a 71 Mach 1 roller that I bought quite a few years ago. It will not be a factory restoration project, I'm doing it my way.
I'm considering getting a fiberglass hood, what is a source for a good quality hood these days, a bolt-on, not a lift-off ?
I have the factory hood but this one I could modify for a scoop.
Thanks much !

I actually purchased one recently. Check this thread and you can see the pictures in post 26 after I received mine.
https://7173mustangs.com/threads/fiberglass-nasa-hood.34850/#post-396658The lead time was about 5-6 months and all went very well with VFN: http://www.vfnfiberglass.com/71-73mustang.htm

However, I have not yet fit the hood. So it looks good but I can't give you feedback about fitment. Once it starts getting colder I will test it before I send it to the shop for prep and painting. You will also need a different spring since this hood is about half the weight. Once I get to that point I will be posting the progress, but it may not be until the winter break. I am a bit concern about clearance since my stock hood fits tight with the Blue Thunder intake and 1/2" spacer I have. I don't want to have too much stress on the fiberglass hood so it doesn't break down the line.

Tony, Thanks very much, that's an excellent thread.
There are/were a few fiberglass companies, I'm not that familiar with the quality of some.

Maier
VFN
Hairy Glass
FiberglassTrends
Unlimited
US Body, I've not heard of.
Dark Horse Performance, I thought they were no longer in business.

I have Maier fenders for a 1969, I never did use them so I can't comment on fit, but they sure look good !
Looks like it's time for research.
