71 mustang coup T-5. 351c 4speed
Hey guys.
Looking for lots of help on my full restoration, have verified through my Marti report that the car is an authentic T-5. According to record this car has not been on the road for 30 years. Already have the car completely striped down to the frame and completely gutted. Am in the process of repairing and replacing all the front end frame rails , motor cross member support brackets and fender inner cowls.
Looking forward to feed back and suggestions.

Thanks. It's my first full restoration and have been thoroughly enjoying it to date. I am single handedly doing all the work myself and have been using your site which I just joined for a lot of insight into what I am doing and were I should go with this rebuild. Am definitely leaning to restomod as I have the car completely striped down.

well there were only 72 coups produced that year with the T-5 Package. Would be nice to restore to original but will keep it as close as possible with upgrading and modifying. More fun to drive. Will be a weekend driver mostly.

Don’t throw anything away! Some of the little brackets under the hood, under the floors, and under the back seat are hard to find when you accidentally throw them out with the old sheet metal.

Welcome from a T5-owner over the pond, Germany!

If you need specific advice, you're welcome. I've gone through all of it...
Hey there, yes it's challenging finding parts for the T5. Have been searching for two years for the T5 fender emblem. Missing one.

Yeah, they are not seen very often... But here and there some look up. I will keep my eyes open for you. I have mine right on the fender. 71/72 are known to have black ones, 73 grey ones...
