Woo Hoo! I made it a bit late to this thread, but I found it! I did celebrate with our 1969 Shelby GT500. Of all the cars I have owned, this is my all time favorite, although the 2020 Shelby GT500 is a very close 2nd. Nostalgia counts in my case. Otherwise, admittedly the 2020 would be my top car. They are all very cherished vehicles. Each for their own reason.

When I was in my early teens, I saw a candy apple red 69 Mach 1 drive past my house. I thought that was the coolest car. I never owned one, but I knew that I wanted that body style.
The nice thing about celebrating the engines of yesteryear is you can do so everyday, twice a day, a minute at a time. Just watch the hands on the clock. You can celebrate most of the engine displacements from Ford, GM, and Mopar. One of my favorite times of the day is 4:29, lol

Well, April 30th is also the celebration date of the venerable 289! 89th day of February!

289 Day, my favorite! Seriously, I've had a '66 GT-350 and a '65 K coupe, both were super fun cars. In fact, I'd even take a 289 slab-sided Cobra over the 427. I'm probably in the minority of people who'd prefer the small block over the big block Cobra.
