Here's mine, most of you have seen it. While stretching the color palette slightly for Halloween, my grandkids think it looks more like "Bumblebee", the Camaro in the Transformers movie. Medium Yellow / Gold, with Ginger interior, is how this car came according to data sticker. Marti confirmed.

Hey, I like Orange and Black Mustangs. Our 73 was deeply restored the other year. The prior owner had changed the color from Saddle Bronze Metallic to Valspar Sunset (orange metallic). When we did the restoration there was a lot of work done to properly correct some corrosion that had gotten into some deeply hidden areas. After all the body repairs we repainted the Mustang using PPG Sunset Orange, which is a translucent, fine grain metallic. We shot it over a white base to give it the candy color effect. Below are two YouTube links. One video is made from a series of progress photos over the 13 1/2 months spent bring the car back to life. The other video is a walk-around of the Mach 1 on its last day or restoration. The 2 attached photos are of the Mach 1 the day we acquired it. It is one really cool Mustang.

As for the specs, the 302 2v that came with the car originally was replaced by the prior owner with a 1994 F-150 351W (not C) that was then built for modest Street/Strip performance (360HP at the crankshaft). He also replaced the old 2.79:1 rear axle gears with a 3.5:1 TractionLok set of gears. It was a very spirited car. We replaced the C4 three speed automatic tranny with a 4 speed Automatic Overdrive tranny (AOD). The AOD made the Mach 1 a very pleasant cruising vehicle with great low end performance, yet having excellent higher speed performance also.





We have made some changes to the Mach 1 also, to include:

replaced the incandescent rear taillights with LED panels,
replaced the radiator and mechanical fan with a dual electric fan cooling system.
mounted a Garmin Drive 52 GPS with a pair of backup and front viewing wireless cameras,
installed an APC full length center console,
replaced the ***** light laden instrument panel with a Dakota analog gauge instrument gauge panel,

Anyway, please to post some photos. I would LOVE to see your Mustang, despite anybody who feels they ought to berate the color choice...

Oops, I should’ve read further down!! I won’t agree with you that no one will like it, I like it A LOT because I used to have a flame orange 72 Chevelle as well
