Great looking vert! I had to do a double take when I saw the chrome front bumper...looks great!
I noticed that as well.

Topless73Qcode4SPD Did you use the 73 front valance?

Ok..I was wondering how long it would be before someone busted me on the

front bumper.

The front valance is a 73. The bumper is a 72. I had to make my own brackets

for it but I hated that plastic covered guppy bumper that the feds forced on everyone. It also weighed about 150 lb's. So not only did it lose weight but

looks much better to.

I think it looks much better. They are insanely heavy. Are the fenders and extensions 72s or 73s? I like the blue top. Chuck

Fenders and extensions are 73, all the 5 mph guts are there ie the rubber bushings.

I only needed to fabricate the brackets that hold the bumper to the original

5 mph extensions. The first bracket took me about 8 hrs of labor time to fab,

the second about 2.

I love my plasma cutter. I get a real kick out of that thing.

A plasma cutter is a great tool. I wish I had one. Chuck

left front inner panel and right rear but thats all I can find wrong with it

I also got a Marti report it came back just as it should

but with one difference

the report said 3 speed manual but mines a T bar

anyway who cares after nigh on 40 years

I drive a Mack truck all day and I need an auto for pleasure

anyway welcome from Australia

What I love about this site is that there are people on it from all over the world/country.

Good Day Mate

Like most guys here say, it's your car build it how YOU like it!
Can't agree with you more.

I tried to keep everything original, down to the nuts and bolts.

But found it to time consuming and restrictive.

Once I decided to "free style" the project started moving right along.

Besides, a lot of the current replacement parts are superior to the original

fomoco parts.

I'm also using stainless and zinc coated nut's and bolts where ever possible.

It is my stang and I'll drive it like I want it.

Freedom is a beautiful thing.

Happy 4th
