1971 Pewter Convertible 351-4V
New "official" member, long-time user of this incredible site. I just bought a 1971 Convertible. This is my third 71-73 mustang, I have previously owed a Ivey Glow 1973 Q-code Mach 1 and a yellow 1971 H-code Mach 1. Both long (regrettably) gone.

I look forward to gaining a ton of knowledge from all the great members on this site.

Howdy from Phoenix. I really like the color and style. The black stripes and hood look good together on that silver paint and with the magnum wheels it's just a really good looking combo.

Welcome from Ohio. Really nice-looking vert. Any work needed to be done or is it good as is?
It really is good as-is. It went thru a full restoration about 18 months ago. I feel it needs a few small things, mainly some original parts added back onto the car, and some personal touches of my own. I have some great original parts, like a correct rim blow steering wheel which I restored and a NASA hood with ram air setup.

I wanted something I could immediately drive and enjoy while I tweaked it a bit. The debate will rage on about the hood and ram air additions, as it was not a ram air car from the factory, but I really like the setup. I'm just not a fan of the flat hood. I guess all good problems to have, right?
