I have upgraded forum upload attachment limits!

You can paste image URL's into the post editor from the box on the bottom right that says INSERT OTHER MEDIA.  Just grab a URL and paste it in there!  Use this for stuff like the Count to 1 Million image thread!  You can also paste straight IMG code into the editor such as this:

The image will pop up right in the editor box!  You can get these codes from 3rd party hosting sites like www.imgbb.com or www.postimage.org.  They do work better when you register for free on these sites and upload your pics to your account...you get more posting options that way!

I don't seem to be able to load up pictures from my flickr account?

On all other forums I just normally get the BBC code copy and paste.

But its not working here?

Tried it this way, (which works on other forums)

Then tried this

Still No Good

So copied web address photo link and that's no good either

In the lower right of the box you type in you'll see a pull-down box "Other Media", click on it and select 'Insert Image from URL', paste the picture web address into the box that pops up.

simply right click your image in browser in flicker, ask to open in separated tab and copy its url, then paste into the forum editor.
Flicker urls are often giving 303 errors as it requires a login or ment to be seen into their own domain.

the forum generates this string for the embed

"<p><img alt="22295681474_157552a2e7_z.jpg" class="ipsImage" data-ratio="27.54" height="176" style="height:auto;" width="639" data-src="https://live.staticflickr.com/768/22295681474_157552a2e7_z.jpg" data-cke-saved-src="https://7173mustangs.com/forums/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/768/22295681474_157552a2e7_z.jpg" data-loaded="true"></p>"

which is wrong as it saves the width as numerical vs percentage as specified in parent css.

That's also why I've requested a way to see the source of this container (the string that is user generated, not the entire page)

I'm still working on raw HTML toggle but IPB is dead set against it!  Still trying though...LOL

@RocketFoot I know you do! I know enough html'ers to know their brains have been affected by this cumbersome half baked tech. :D

What about instead of working on a raw source edit, you just fix their buggy resize option (dropdown in % vs numericals), ditch their useless contradictive inline width/height in embed and update the parent css by parent.img.height:auto; (vs adding it to each img inline) Correct the wrong ratio they do need to reformat on different media, which I suspect is a simple calc of the ratio of the img real size by the container width in current display (which they, (lol), save in a data tag). Then the editor would allow to display picts crafted exactly for the post to be displayed as they should on every display vs this variable width that you can't increase no matter what because parent width is set to 100% and the browser will not allow it because of the natural width of the img. No need for a source view if that was corrected, at least not for pictures.

PS: I know I'm a pain :D

72 sport roof R code waiting to be finished. 67 and 69 shelby's are ahead of it.
Well, this blows chunks! The older site was so much more user friendly. I opened up a new picture host just to post pics for this site ONLY.  No other forums are this finicky and through all this it still doesn't work.

ADMINS: just make it available to pull pics right from your device instead of jumping through all these flaming hoops. Every other forum does....

It's easy to load directly from your device, I do it all the time.

Directly below this area where you write in, on the left side you will see a paper clip and after it says 'Drag files here to attach, or choose files..' Click on 'choose files' and browse though your device until you find the picture you want to up load.
