Stove top stuffing mix... Microwave oven... Follow all the directions for preparing in your microwave, but forget the "water" ingredient...

Holy crap... I thought it was going to catch fire.

We had to put the bowl outside because smoke was pouring out of it.

This morning, I go outside to retrieve the bowl. In the bowl was one big chunk of charcoal...

Do not try this at home, kids!

Charcoal was a main ingredient in some of our

chemistry projects back in the sixties. Very difficult

to get it right. Most of the formulas we got from

chemistry books in the school library. Nobody cared

if you blew yourself up just as long as nobody else got

blowed up. We had a lot of fun and only a couple of

scars to show for it.

Ahhh...HS Chemistry classes. One time, when the teacher let us do whatever we wanted, we dropped some nickel metal into a beaker of nitric acid. Oh boy! Did that thing bubble and then start putting out the smoke! The teacher looked up from his papers and said, "Hmmm...the fog must be rolling in" and went back to his paperwork.

Well, this wasn't planned... Wife was trying to make stuffing... forgot the water, and just about burnt down our house with the microwave.

It was full tilt "Holy Crap" mode for a few minutes until we realized there were no flames.

PSA: Don't forget the water!
