I’ve seen on a few post here that others have used Bernstein shocks, however I can’t find a model number that fits my 71 Mach1 351-4v.(pretty much stock).  Would rather have the hydraulic type if they make them.
Koni’s would work too.

I think you mean Bilstein shocks. My understanding is that Bilstein does not make the front ones, they do not show them on their catalog, but a company called Opentracker racing does sell them. I believe that they modify a Bilstein shock for another application so that it will fit the 71-73's, do not quote me on that. The rear shocks are sold by Bilstein and are a regular stocking number for a ton of vendors. I have never used Bilstein shocks on a 71-73 but I have run them on a bunch of other cars, and they are excellent, but quite pricy. People that have run them on this forum have very good impressions of them. The front shocks are here on the Opentracker website:

The rears are here:

71 ProjectJunk,

your absolutely right. Not sure where that name came from. Just replaced my leaf springs and I guess this old fart lying on concrete for hours had a senior moment. HaHa.

 Thanks for the great info!

john

You're welcome, I am having more and more of those senior moments everyday. I now have forgotten more stuff about classic cars and how to fix them, than I remember
