1. Not a 7123 plug found anywhere. I'll bet there's a number of splices if you follow the wires. Not even a Mustang plug!

2. Clock plug: you are correct.

3. AC de-icer or thermostat switch.

4. Plug for a lamp, which I think goes behind the heater switch.

There's only one red male/female illumination plug.

thanks for all the info, I'll dig a bit deeper this weekend. I'll probably just remove the plug in pic one (the non-mustang plug). Right now it only has one wire connedted to it. I'll try to trace it back to see where it goes.

There are several other wires that are cut and hanging loose (they all come out of the dash harness).

(1) blue with red tracer

(2) black (they are both grounds)

(2) white with brown tracer (1 reads 12vdc with key on the other does not show voltage w/key on)

(1) larger gauge wire that I believe is white or maybe tan,, it does not have power with key on or off (comes out of harness same place as heater/ac wires).  This wire is circled in pic below.

Not enough detail to determine what that wire is; need a closer view and connector description.

Have you bought a Colorized Wiring Diagram CD? If not, I think you will find it a big help in identifying the wiring for your car. It's a digitized version of the Ford diagrams and lists wire colors and markings, shows the schematics and plugs, etc. Also has vacuum diagrams. You can find it on eBay.
