My Car
1971 Mustang coupe
I've been watching this site for a little while, and I've been registered for a little shorter while. I have owned my 1971 Coupe since 2001. It has been a long lesson in patience. I just drove it for the first time ever about two weeks ago. It started life as a base model coupe with no options. Now it has a 351W, toploader, and lots of plans in the works. I'll post pictures after school today.

Welcome! Glad to have you aboard! Can't wait to see some pics!

::welcome::

Welcome! This is a fun site but the some of the guys obviously need you to upload some new mustang porn to support their addiction.

Hmm, I resemble that comment!

Thanks for all the welcomes. Sorry it took me so long to get back and put up some pictures. The two I have here are from almost 2 years ago, and they were the start to one interesting trip. I was moving and the car was going with me. I had my mother and father in-law along for the drive (we get along pretty well). The trip out went OK, but the trip back with the car was a different story. First the pickup tried to overheat, so we ended up driving about 280 miles at about 55 instead of 65 like we had on the way out. Then about 65 miles from our destination the driver's side rear wheel of our tow rig passed the pickup. Luckily I kept everything in a straight line and nothing got too severely damaged. We had to replace the whole brake assembly on the pickup. This car never rides a trailer well, so from now on I'm driving it when it goes places:D

I'll try to get some this weekend or next week. My insurance cards showed up yesterday, and I'll probably have a chance to license it next Friday. It doesn't look a whole lot different, but there is a quarter panel on the passenger side now. College and student teaching pretty well wiped my budget out in the last year. A full time job has helped that, but taken most of my time. Gotta go to class. I'll try to get new pictures soon.

Doc, thanks for the welcome. That did kind of sound like I'm still in school didn't it. I am actually just over half way through my first year teaching agriculture in high school. I am also working on a endorsement in ITE. Ag is a lot of work but fun too. I teach everything from flowers to welding. It's a small school, less than 60 kids 9 - 12, but I have more than 75 seats filled everyday. I also teach a speech class, and coach the speech team. Add a dog and wife to that, and I don't have much time for my car.
