Kinda bummed. Headliner trim pieces missing parts. Are these important?

While cleaning a set of trim pieces I purchased I noticed these some pieces missing. Has anyone had this happen to them? Can I use washers glued together to replicate the pieces on the front trim? What does the clip on the side trim do, where is it placed (it slides so I don't know where it's supposed to go), and is there only one on each side? Can I install the trim pieces without these parts? Thanks.

It looks like you could bend up some sheet metal to replicate the missing brackets on the front trim and JB Weld them into place. For the side trim piece(s) you might want to check with one of the used parts vendors in the Market Place.
