302 angine with a Dual Quad intake for Racing

What kind of moron wastes a dual quad tunnel ram on a 302. I'm sure that setup was the cost to benefit winner of 302 upgrades.

A seriously built 302 racing engine may qualify for a nice dual quad set-up...that particular 302 engine is not it, though.

I had a buddy that had a dual quad on a 302 but it was set up.

BTW, I may have to choose my words different next I tell someone "It's your car, do what you want to it!".

That ad cracks me up. 'super cheap'. But my favorite of all is: "Currently has a sun roof". With "Just needs a good paint job" as close second.

I just laughed so hard I threw up in my mouth a little.....

and I peeeeeed a little too....

Looks to have been sitting for a long time, wonder where the dug it up? Maybe south of the border based on the grammer.....

Those shows are going to make our favorite car unobtainable for the average Joe....

I agree and disagree Kit. Possibly a hard core stroked 347 with worked AFR heads possibly and all the supporting stuff. But then it is no longer a 302. But I don't know of a sane person who would waste big money on a setup like that over jumping to a stroked 351 or a big block. In my experience that setup will provide minimal gains and many times is more detrimental to drivability in general.

But I do spy what looks like a duraspark box in the engine bay so it may be more than meets the eye?

Then again why would a "race car" have the tower bracing removed.

Nice! 10k too much but I still want it, I love 4 speed cars :)

That setup will probably be pouring petrol out of the exhaust, unless its really worked!

Aahhhh, the modern mentality. I'm guessing this was an old school build when we couldn't imagine a 347 stroker, aftermarket heads, and the likes. If this was done in the late 70's or 80's it was probably pretty trick in its day. Still not very effective, granted, but a cruising king in its day. Fuel drippin' out the pipes and all. Good candidate for model T coils! :)

P.S. you gotta love the fuel line plumbing.

Why do people think it's a good idea to delete their shock tower braces? This drives me nuts when I see it on a car! I don't think I would even begin to think about purchasing that car, well maybe if I could get it for $500.......

The individual shock tower braces that came on our cars is a start in the right direction, but they still only provide a minimum of overall rigidity. If the two pieces were somehow firmly and rigidly attached to each other it would be a vast improvement. Hard to do and retain a stock look though.

And if the whole thing was triangulated with a brace from left to right shock towers, there would be a dramatic improvement, but all apparances if originality go right out the window with that.

Can't believe they could possibly think it's worth that much
You would be surprised at how many 71-2-3's are on the Los Angeles Craigslist right now that are going for big money, but not as bad as my first posted one lol. Even the 64 1/2 up to our body style cars are skyrocketing in price.

Some of these may have been listed on here already sorry, and some of these are legit good looking cars.
