Here are my personal experiences and recommendations:
Don from Ohio Mustang Supply is always top notch, ordered many times from him over the years, has used parts also. For our overseas Mustang owners he used to make packets as cheap as possible so shipping and customs would not eat us alive.
But we do not have to forget Mike from Motorcity Mustang from who I ordered great used parts also over the years. Reasonable shipping prices and excellent services, is on the same step as Don.
Don and Mike aren't too bad to go in the shed to make some photos for you of explicit parts or searching for them. Awesome!
Same for West Coast Cougar Classics. Great source of parts. And if the part is a bad reproduction they talk about. Have great videos and how-to-do's also!
Rocketman and Midlife come into the game if you have an electrical problem or demand. I have ordered a Amperemeter to Voltmeter conversion from Rocketman a few years ago, all went fine, excellent service. I had not any need from Midlife yet but heard nothing but only good about him. And he has a good sense of humor...
I ordered several times directly from AMK! They have also excellent customer service, good shipping prices and simply the best hardware for our Mustangs. Don't be shy to order from them directly if you don't see anything on the usual sites and suppliers. There is more than you think - they reproduced every bolt and washer.
Rockauto - who not?!? Cheap, fast and if you know what you want - perfect.
MACs Auto Parts I had a few orders since and it was every time a good experience.
Also Marti Auto Works, Dennis and Daniel Carpenter or Kentucky Mustang, Motorcitymusclecar, Speedway Motors, Summit, Maryland Mustang, I have ordered from and all went well!
NPD shipping prices are nowadays sadly over the top for us overseas guys so I avoid ordering from them despite they have excellent service and supply of parts.
CJ I had that backorder problem too and had to wait way too long. But in the end I got my parts all in once.
In the end I can say that I generally prefer the smaller businesses!
